Nevadans?

No, you don't, it is okay, I am glad I don't live there any more, and yes, I would want to move to the bay area too! Who doesn't? But who has the money is the question

. My aunt used to live in Ceres, it is kinda scary at night there with all of the houses so spread out and all of that tall grass, haha! I think you need to take a break for a day and ice your shoulders, arms and back, and then take some advil. Advil really is amazing!

Just checking in quickly before I crash. I went to the doc today and, to make a long story short, I have a massive ear infection that has spread to my glands etc. Never had an ear infection before so I didn't realize how serious they can get. I can't even move my jaw or head without horrible pain. Hope the meds kick it super fast! :(

Hope you all are having a better day than me...

Yikes! I've heard that's painful. Hopefully you have fast acting antibiotics and you heal quickly, poor you. How's the back doing? So is the Internet working better, I assume you're not in your car? Feel better Sunny and return to your Sunny self ASAP!

OUCH! I remember that pain. Hopefully by the time you read this, the meds will be starting to work. You can't mess around with that stuff. My whole family is so prone to them it's unreal.

Get better!

I just couldn't move today. Yesterday. I sat or laid around all day other than running in the morning and then picking up more wire and feed. Glad I cleaned and refilled everything the day before, because I didn't even go out back all day. I'm out of ACV and I think I know what's happening with my shoulder. I had calcium deposits in the joints yearas ago and this is the pain that it started with before I had huge lumps in my shoulder. 6 weeks of ACV and they were down to tiny bumps that you have to touch to know they were there and then they were gone. I don't take the stuff like I used to, but I'm thinking I need to get back to it and stay with it from now on. Ice touching me, feels like birns. Don't know why, but I've always been that way. I might just try anyway to see if I can get the inflamation down. It's really hot to the touch.

You know what's weird? When we left the Bay, we could afford it, but I wanted to be out here by my daughter and her kids. Dummy me! LOL It's ever getting back there that's the hard part. Plus I'd need millions to be able to have the space I need and areas for animals. Wish it was like it was when I was a kid.

Did you know you can make your own ACV? Use some of the natural stuff with the "mother" in it... Braggs. Get some frozen apple juice concentrate... I use two and only put in two cans of water each instead of 3, made in a glass jar. Pour in about a 1/2 cup to a full cup of the ACV, cover your jar with a cloth that will allow the vinegar to "breathe" and secure it with a rubber band or whatever. After a few weeks, you'll have your own ACV. When you want to make more, take the jelly fish looking "mother" out of the jar or else pour the vinegar out from under her and re-use it. You won't need to add more ACV from the Braggs bottle. I make my ACV in glass jars but then store it in a plastic bottle if I don't have a large enough glass bottle to transfer it to.

Good luck. Hope you're feeling better soon.

That reminds me, I need to check my plum vinegar experiment. I used half Braggs and half plums, and they've been in there a few weeks. But I have the feeling that really good vinegar is going to need the actual winemaking step, so it probably won't be happening much around here.

I have a neighbor who wants to get into winemaking. I told him that, if he's serious, he can have my surplus grapes in trade for a gallon or so of wine that I can convert into vinegar. He's thinking about it, but he's a disabled vet and can't afford a lot of equipment. So we'll see.

Lacy Blues, my andalusians are growing so well! They're a lot bigger, and feathered out beautifully. My husband would like to see them running around the yard with the other chickens, with clipped wings. But I told him I'm not familiar enough with the breed to know if that's a good idea. My leghorn and brabanter free range just fine, but they were raised with the larger girls. My leghorn is really sweet and wants to stay around humans, and my brabanter hangs out on top of the coop but is too stupid to realize there is tasty grass on the other side of the fence. The enclosed coop is large enough to be a permanent home for them plus one other of a flying breed. What do you think... should I just keep them in the enclosed one, or try them out when they're big enough?
