Never had duck!!!

Ok, we have never eaten duck before - and we had 3 pekins processed today - picking them up soon - want to make one this weekend - NEED your best recipes for a first-time duck eater LOL

I LOVE duck...I like to keep it simple. I have used this simple recipe many times and it's always great!!!

Edited to add...I left the butter out of the recipe and just used the rendered fat to baste it with.

omg 12 kids, you are going to need more than 1 duck if you have 12 human kids!!!

Duck likes to be cooked low and slow

I usually cook duck in chinese dishes, like orange duck. Yum!

Hmmm, with that many people to feed, I might roast the duck then glaze it with an orange sauce and serve just a few pieces over rice, with a veggie stir-fry side dish.

Oh yeah- roasting a duck in your oven makes a HUGE mess. Duck grease everywhere. But it tastes so good it's worth it!
