Never hatched an egg in my life!

I am new to owning ducks. My Indian Runner just started laying eggs a little over a week ago and I'm pretty sure some of them are fertile considering that the only other duck I have is a male Mallard. I read that Indian Runner's aren't the greatest at brooding so I'd like to try and hatch some of the eggs myself. since some are over 7 days old I know I need to get them started in the incubator asap. I'm attempting to make a homemade incubator until I can purchase a small one. I just need to know if once I get the incubator in the mail if I can move the eggs from the homemade incubator to the new one without disturbing the growth? Also if I don't have something to read the humidity yet should I even start the incubation and where can I find something to read humidity? ANY ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED!

So like a fun idea- hatching chicks or ducklings is great!
Never tried a homemade incubator before, but I've heard that people get successful hatches that way! It would be perfectly fine to move the eggs from one incubator to another- just make sure you handle the eggs carefully and the incubator you are transferring your eggs into is the same temperature as the original incubator!
Keeping an eye on the humidity is quite important, and really you should have a dial to check it (although I must admit sometimes I incubate the eggs without knowing the humidity). I think it would be fine to start incubating the eggs without a dial. Just make sure the water channels are always topped up!
As for where you can buy a dial, I find this website has just about everythIng you need for incubating: http://www.theincubatorshop.co.uk/
I'm not sure where you're from, but that shop is a UK shop. I don't know if they deliver to other countries.
