So I went to a local relay for life a few days ago and they announced an egg toss. Great! Grabbed a friend and got in line, and as I stood there, all I could think of was all the little fuzzy butts we could have had in a few weeks.

Sad isnt it.

No. It sounds like fun. Eggs are not chicks, dear.

But they could have been! Maybe. And I was out in the third toss. Caught the egg. It just shattered in my hand.

you get a partner.

Everyone lines up facing each other. You toss your egg to your partner,
Your partner tosses it back.

Everyone backs up one step. You toss your egg to your partner, They toss it back
You back up a step.

Last couple to have an intact egg, wins

I know, that wasnt my point

I think her point was she was all excited that she was going to be bringing home some eggs to hatch. (Warning: when you spend too much time on this site your brain gets rewired to think in only those terms) Only to find out that was not the case and if I am reading right the sad part was that is how her brain was thinking.

i was thinkging "yay egg toss. but wait, that is what I have at home in my incubator. OH NO"

I am aware they were store bought.

i am aware they are infertile.

the point was i have chicken on the brain and how sad that standing at an egg toss with more than likly infertile eggs made me think about how many fuzzy butts these could have became, again if they were fertil

was trying to point out the addiction. and how sad (not like

but like
lau.gif
as in think of something else, sad)

i found it ammusing but explaining it away takes the humor out of it for me
