New 8 x 12 Bantam Coop *New Additions-Post 244~ 6/2*

Coop is looking great. My DH has almost finished my new coop just need to add the wood for the ventilation and then its done, now if I can get him to build the pen attached to the new coop all would be great.

All four walls, plus the divider wall between the coop and storage parts, as well as the rafters on which plywood will go in the 8x8 side for a loft storage area. The human door will be 30" and there will be a sliding pop door that I can open from inside the storage area.

Still looking for a window for the far end. Will have to cut studs and mount supports when we know the size of it. Wow, my bad ankle is so swollen and I hurt from head to toe!

Roof decking is in progress, had to quit for the day. The loft flooring over the coop part is also nailed down--will be convenient to shove extra waterers and feeders and maybe a bale of straw up there. Still haven't found a window for the far end, but will block that in when we know what size it is. Have to plan the ventilation and will eventually build a brooder in on the back end of the storage vestibule. It ain't perfect, but it is pretty square and should hold together, LOL.
