Thanks everyone. I have been wanting java's for awhile now and I finally got my hands on a few. I have one hen and now ill be on the hunt more java hens.

Oooh man I know everyone says that the greens are more wild and are known to attack their keepers, but man do I someday want some...This guy who we get some of our peafowl from has an old pair of them and I love watching them. The male might have arthritis because he walks funny but he is so beautiful! I got to feed him lettuce...Although when the guy said in all the years he has had them he has never gotten peachicks from them I was like "whoa". I think he needed to install some blinds for them though he said the male likes to fence fight with a blackshoulder...Okay enough about getting off topic lol...

I love the bright loral patch of skin on the face. To me the brighter the better and the fact that it is that bright orange is beautiful!
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the peacock?
I probably won't be lucky enough to get greens this year and my parents are afraid of them because of the stories of them being mean but hopefully someday I could get lucky and get some.
