New again at raising chickens

Hi all! I’m so excited to be here. I’ve always loved chickens and hatched my first batch in a cardboard box with a light and tin foil when my kids were toddlers. I thought it was important to teach them to love little creatures at a young age. Recently, I purchased 4 little buff orpington’s so I could show that same love to my grandson. They are almost fully feathered now. The plans for a coop are now actively in the works. I’m hoping that you all can help me. I’m learning more than I’ve forgotten over the years. I’m so glad that I found this group.
