Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself to all the bird lovers out there!
-While I haven't owned my own chickens until recently, I have helped care for my family's large flock of various layers and meat birds. I personally prefer to work with the egg layers and not get close to the meat birds.
-I currently have my first flock arriving this month, 5 hens from Meyer Hatchery. So far, working with Meyer has been great. Here is a list of the breeds I have purchased:
-I have a few other hobbies that you would come to expect of someone who raises chickens: gardening, crocheting, and reading. I really just enjoy the simple life with my family!
-I am excited to be a part of the BYC community! I have used this forum many times to get your unique perspective that cannot be replicated by a Google AI answer. I am excited to chat with y'all!
