Hi live in rural Northern Wisconsin. I have 15 Red Star laying chickens. I bought them last June. They are going through molting right now. I typed in chicken questions and the internet came up with the back yard chicken info. Have read quite a few articles and questions in your forum. Decided to join in the info quest. I don't let my chickens range run as I have two big gardens and it seems they would destroy it if allowed. I do feed them quite a few things from the garden throughout the summer. I'm interested in how to take care of them with the problem of possible worming that needs to be done. There are quite a few suggestions as to what works and what doesn't. Have to give that some thought. Will continue to do research on finding out. I have raised miniature horses in the past for sale and now just giving the mares a needed rest in their old age.
