Ok I am 17 and new with the whole ducklings experiences....I have three baby Indian Runner Ducks named Felix, Figaro, and Knigth and they are all about 2-3 weeks old....but one(Felix) of them is looking like he has a dislocated hip......But he doesn't seem to be in any pain what so ever and he is able to walk but doesn't seem to really like to.....he does have a limp....I am worried about him very much.......I have heard that it could be just their food not having what they need in it.....because I am feeding them chick starter......so I have gotten niacin to put in their water .........Do I need to also give them Brewer's Yeast because I heard that helps.....I also heard that you need to give them regular water therapy to strengthen their legs but I have no idea for how long to let them swim around and I don't know how often to do the water therapy......I would really love to have your guys advice about this....I am just really worried about my baby Felix and I am worried that what happened to him will happen to my other two ducklings.

If you're adding niacin at 100 to 150 mg per gallon of water, that should do it.

And little Felix may need a hobble if he or she has spraddle leg.
See if this gives you some ideas.

With water therapy, be sure the water is about the same temperature as the brooder should be for their age. Not too hot or cold. Just a little taller than his or her legs, so the duckling can float a little, and maybe 5 or 10 minutes at a time . . . little'uns poop out quickly, generally.

Hello and welcome!

I'm having similar problems with my little duckling, Hazel. I started her on niacin but have now moved her on to Purina flock starter feed so have stopped the niacin supplement in her water. She's also hobbled to train her legs to go back to the correct position. See my post from last week below - on the 3rd page is a picture of the hobble which may help!
