I have a broody that is sitting on eggs which are due to hatch this weekend. My question is, once they hatch, can I leave them in the coop with their mother or do I need to move them somewhere else?

Mama will do her best to keep them warm, feed and protected. Just keep an eye on her mothering skills, if it is her first hatch she may not be a great mother and run off without her chickies being taken care of. If this happens you need to take over.

I put my hen and babies in a "brooder" coop for a couple of weeks to make sure that no one is bugging them. They still access to the run/range but it keeps them out of the larger coop (not set up for little babies). Hope this helps, have fun with the little ones!!
