New auction system question

Hi,
I was wondering if its just the time of year or the switching of the system that has so lowered the numbers of items for sale?
Seems there used to be tons of things for sale and now not as many.

There is a limit to the number of items that can be listed, but it is probably because it is winter. All my birds have to be moved into a big house so they are all mixed. I can not ship any eggs at all.

It may look like there are fewer items being posted because:

1) the time of year
2) we archive listings as they expire

Compared to this same time last year, there are actually more items being posted per day.
