We just adopted 4 new poults and they are partially debeaked. We have them quarantined from our other 2, non-debeaked 2-year old EES. Suggestions for introductions? Do I need to worry about them not being able to defend themselves properly? I WILL NOT be adopting from this breeder again, very sad for these ladies!

Poults or pullet? Two different species there (turkey and chicken)
The revealing itself is not likely to pose any problems....done properly it has little actual impact on the bird's life, if too short it can complicate things, post a pic. Done properly, it isnt as awful or traumatic as it seems you believe it to be

You want to make sure that they can still eat and drink. They don’t really need to protect themselves from anything. They might not be able to eat large bugs. I think they will be fine, just keep an eye on them! 😊

😔 showing I’m a rookie, pullets (chickens) spell check stopped me too. It doesn’t look too extreme, but shocked me a bit. One of my 2-yr old EE is a bit of a butt, so I’m most worried about her because she’s bigger. I know I need to wait 2-4 weeks before we put them face to face without a fence between them, so they will hopefully be closer in size. I’ll post some pics when I can a good 1 or 2. Thanks!

Eating and drinking seem good so far. I’ll have to watch them the grasshoppers come out soon! 😂
