New babies are here and getting cozy (with pics)

When my girls were little, I had a piece of corrugated plastic pipe in their brooder. They loved racing through it and jumping on top (the ripples of the corrugated pipe helped keep them from slipping). One BR in particular claimed it as her special sleeping spot.

Glad your girls are enjoying themselves. And your little girl is so sweet with the "tickees"!

Awesome! I'm glad more people are doing the tunnel thing than I thought. :) And thanks - yep they seem to be enjoying themselves thoroughly - my human girl and my little feathered girls! :D

UPDATE: So as I was going down to the basement for my next half-hour check, I heard the unmistakable click-click-click of the water bottle. I go down and there is my little golden drinking out of it! Then after watching her, my sweet little brown EE started pecking it too! Now I have 5 out of 6 drinking perfectly! Well, almost perfectly... they try to peck the pipe too thinking they'll get water every time they tap something lol! Now I just have to make sure my third EE is getting her water and I will be a happy mama!

I really like the looks of EE #3 and the Golden Comet. The best part of raising EE chicks is that you never know how they will look like when they grow up. It's so fun to watch and guess.

I can't wait to see! EE#3 is gorgeous - she has Cleopatra-like eye coloring. It is hard to see from the close up pics, but she is twice as big as the little Australorps.

I've still only named three out of the 21 chicks...I figure their names will come once individual personalities emerge! Right now, they're identified by colored zip tie leg bands. I'll probably get numbered ones when they've grown...just so I'm not the only one who can figure out who's who if I have a chicken-sitter and there's a problem!
