Got 44 today and have more coming in june. We got the hatchery surprise asaortment. Looking at your chicks, I think we too have Welsummers and Lavender Amaracaunas in the mix!

Are wellsummers aggressive in the brooder? These little red chicks are *mean*. We are having to set up multiple brooders. Tonight we are just pulling out the aggressive chicks, tomorrow we will also separate out the ducks, the turkeys, and any especially small and docile banties. The 2 little polish chicks are sure able to hold their own tho! Haha, feisty little guys but without being mean.
