New babies! Oh Buuuffff....

Thanks, Buff. My DD is still sad, but finally stopped crying for Goldie. I'm pretty sure she aspirated when she 1st tried to drink and wasn't able to recover. Today after school we're going back to the feed store to pick out another BO chickie. The other 2 are thriving and happy. (Sunny and Honey, named by DD, so cute). Wish me luck for the new baby!

We got her!!! She's as healthy as the other 2. I was worried they'd be all gone, but there were several. So now we have Sunny, Honey, and.....Bunny! They're all doing well and my DD is a happy little chick mommy!

Heh! My Dh was all the way on the other side of the country when I told him I was planning to get some chicks to raise for eggs. I told him I was going to get enough to produce what we need with a couple dozen to spare that we could sell to pay for the feed (and he believes me!)

BUT, he loves eggs, so it wasn't hard to convince him!
And of course, the cute little fluff balls will win him over. (I hope?)

Hmmmm....Can I borrow someone's cute DD to take pics with of mine when they get here?
