don't think I would breed either parent again. It's true that the fault may not show up with an outcross breeding however, the progeny will probably carry a recessive(or who knows) of the defective gene (bulgy eyes) and it will come out later down the line. Would you really want a flock producing loads of bulgy eye chicks? On the other hand if you find out this is indeed a nutrional problem, or maybe they(parents) where exposed to chemicals, poisons etc. that could cause the mutation- I would give them other chances. Isn't there a chance that the bulgy eyes are some form of infection or disease that could be treated. Fowl pox ?????
