new babies what should i do

runner momma has successfully hatched 2 babies out of sixteen and working on the rest. she has nested in the chicken house and I'm concerned for the safety of the babies because of snakes. should I bring the babies to a brooder in the house. she is being a great mother but is in lockdown in the chicken house since all my fowl free range 5 acres duck have a 1 acre pond with floating platform. I know the babies can't go to the pond for a while because of the turtles. how long should I wait before starting to collect the hatchlings to move to a safer location without mom. I hate to separate her but I think it will increase the babie survival rate.

I would not leave anything to chance. It's her hurt feelings versus their lives, sounds like to me.

You may be able to reintroduce them after all have been hatched.
