Very cute, but you really should get them off the newspaper asap
They need good traction right now or they may end up slipping/doing the splits, injuring their hip joints and then you'll be dealing with splayed legs or other types injuries that may not be fixable. Well textured paper towels or the rubberized shelf liner works great for young baby keets. I do not recommend shavings when they are this young either because they can eat them, become impacted and die. I always use rubberized shelf liner or coarse straw for at least 2 wks and avoid any injuries altogether.
Guineas are very flock oriented, even at a really young age. Comfort in numbers. The mirror makes them think there are actually more keets in the brooder than their actually are, and keeps them more content.
