New babies!

I'm looking forward to adding to my newly started flock...(Trying to pick up on the lingo here..lol)

3.5 weeks old. They grow so fast. I fenced in the run today and covered it with deer netting, then let the babies out to explore for about 20 minutes. They mostly hid underneath the coop and pecked around a bit. I sat on the ground with them to keep an eye on them, since there are still some places they could slip out or where crows could slip in while they're this small.

I found RIR to be the meanest chickens that I ever raised. Pecked my hand every time i grabbed for eggs. The roosters were just as nice. Enjoyed butchering the roosters. Sold every hen that I raised.

I found this to be true also, meanest chickens I have ever owned. They tasted pretty good though.

I got some new baby chicks too, about the same age as yours. I have 8 and 2 of them are Rhode Island Reds. They do grow up so fast. Have fun with your chicks.
