I think its awsome . You would not beleave what they put in pet food even the fancy 20 buck 3 lb bags that are sapose to be good stuff , mostly its corn corn and more corn add in a little rice or soy and then by product meal of some kinds and that means the tumers , heads hoves ect anything they cant possible pass of in any other way . Its truely disgusting. You can notice even with packaged food if you look at the lable and get the best quaility stuff you can with the least amount of filler in it that the animal will eat less and poop less cuase they get what they need. I coudnt bring my self to process birds my self but I have been tempted to put my cat on a real meat diet raw or not becuase he has so much trouble with food and is always haveing digestive and bladder issues.
I totally agree with you and even though pet food quality has increased in the past few years it just doesn't compare to raw. Your cat just doesn't know what he is missing!

I give my animals Seameal made by the Solid Gold dog food brand. I have actually used quite a few of their supplements before but only the Seameal on a regular basis. There are many wonderful multivitamins out there. Everything that I have been taught has been through managing a doggy daycare and talking with tons of people. I also am a member of http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/ and http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawcat/. Rawfeeding (the first one) is by far my favorite group. They made me feel confident taking the "prey model diet" plunge. This group can answer any questions you will ever have. It is amazing. They can give you all the tips on what to feed, how often, and how much to feed. It is worth taking a looksie, I promise.
