Hi, I just joined this site, and I just wanted to say hi and share what I've been working on lately. On the 9th I started incubating some eggs, and on the 30th they hatched! The kinds of chicks there are, are 3 Plymouth barred rock, Dixie rainbow mix, 3 Buff Orpington, Dixie rainbow mix, and 1 chick I'm thinking is a brown leghorn (got it from my aunt and she didn't know either).

Welcome to BYC! :frow

Very very soon it will be too small! Seven birds will want about thirty sq. ft. as near adults in their coop; do you have it ready to go? In a very short time, they will want about two sq. ft. per bird. Can the move to their coop with the heat lamp safely? That's easiest, depending on your set-up.

I have a 100 Sq. ft pen waiting for them as soon as they get their feathers. And I can get bigger boxes if they need it. And yes, I can move the heat lamp to the pen if thats what your asking
