What's the temperature where you are???

55°/13C and sunny with 67% humidity (yay!) at 10:00 A.M. High today of 64°/18C. Chicken delights will be blueberries and backyard greens. The rain has passed but we woke up to still-wet ground this morning, that's rare, I love it. Going to be working outside most of the day.

Will you please check out these amazing clouds? Almost looks more like Colorado than the Arizona desert.

Early morning in the mountains. They got 4" of snow. Not enough for the ski slopes to open but verrrrrry close.

It is going to be 35C today and 37C tomorrow. My chickens are already wings out and open mouth breathing. I had a bucket of water ready so when they start to close their eyes, they will be dipped into the bucket.

I take it the humidity is high there also...? Do you use fans at all?

I have a number of fans that run all the time when it's hot and humid, if it's not the freezing cold miserable winter weather, it's a hot and humid summer that taxes the poor birds.

Currently it's -15C (5F) still, and it's started to snow more heavily now, they are still calling for up to 20cm of snow but I don't thing that will happen unless it really ramps up here.

The wind is from the east and the fine snow is filtering into the barn door at that end of the barn, I made the mistake of not wearing my heavy duty winter boots, after a few hrs I had to come back to the house to thaw my feet - heading back out in a bit to bring the horses in and put the chooks to bed. Tonight everyone is going into the main Hen House, it's just way too cold for Mr P and his harem of silkies to be out in the other area.

Barn temp is running around -6C and they are starting to show signs of cold stress, I threw down a bunch of straw to get them moving and that was a huge success. Still at least another month of this miserable weather to get through, poor chooks.

Wow that is awesome - not often to see clouds in AZ. But then again last time I was in Yuma over Christmas (about 8 yrs ago) it rained every day for a week. I was chilled and had to go to Walmart and buy cold weather clothes hahaha! What I wouldn't give to have that 40F here now...

Saturday: 6:00pm, 30°F, wind chill 19°F, dew point 29°F, humidity 96%, wind N @ 20mph, overcast, freezing drizzle. 🥶☹️ have i mentioned, I hate wind?....makes it feel colder than it is! 😱

Ugh - hate freezing rain/drizzle, hope you're not getting too much ice accretion from it - bad for trees, breaks the branches.

People are still cleaning up and fixing things from last April's ice storm here.

Be safe and be careful if power lines come down - terrifying when that happens.

😮 The last time I could say "it rained every day for a week" was when I was in Ireland!

Stay safe and warm, everyone who is dealing with the cold and snow. 🙏

3" of snow followed by ice and now it's just cold. At least two trees snapped off (we thought it unwise to go walking around in this to look, that's what we can see from the house). There are a lot of branches down but the buildings are all OK. It's now 19F and dropping fast so the trees will be coated for a while. Worried that the wind is supposed to blow. These droopy limbs don't need any more stress.

Power was only out for 3 hours here today, hopefully our luck holds.
