New baby help

Good evening!
I'm happy to report that baby is looking better! Still can't stand but is holding its head up! I took some pictures, I hope I can figure out how to post it :/
I'm so excited! I was wondering tho bc I've never done babies with mamas...only bought from tractor supply and a local farm...if this baby gets better can it go back to the moms and other babies?

I am going to build sandy an enclosed area around her tree hole so she can eat or drink-great idea there! Thank y'all again...I think these 2 girls have hatched about 15 babies so far! :D

What a precious baby. Once this lil one is on it's feet good while moms have the ducklings out distract with treats so moms are eating then slip duckling down with the rest. Don't let moms see it while holding it. It should work but keep close eye on things. And here is link to using hobbles to help get legs under baby

https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry scroll down a ways till you see treating splay legs. Usually only takes a few days.

Good Morning! Thank you for the link-very informative about a lot of things :)
I read about splayed legs last night and did the band aid splint. I'm worried though bc the videos I saw the animal didn't look as bad as this one. It stays on its side a lot. I'm going to keep trying, I'm just wondering if anything else is wrong like in its back or something.

Bless it's heart. How is it to eat? and drink having an open container can be hazardous to drowning if it is having difficulty.

Why not try it in the sink with some warm water just to cover the legs for now Stay right with the duckling in case it can't stay upright, sometimes getting the legs moving can help build strength. But it may not be able to do water yet you''ll just have to see. Could be something going on for sure, neurological possibly have you felt all over for any abnormalities that stand out.

Oh yes mam, I don't leave the open container of water there. Only with my supervision. It has taken a few sips. I did feel around but to be honest idk what I'm feeling for as I have only ever had healthy ducks but I don't feel anything abnormal. It's little fit curl so I'm guessing that is a problem and I read about making feet splint thingies so I will try that. I also saw on the website you gave me about making a doughnut out of a wash rag and I did that and it sat up for quite a while. Then plopped to the bottom. It sleeps a good bit and I'm not sure how to gage that. When I went to the barn this morning there are over 29 ducklings!! They are all fine and wandering around their safe space with moms. Sandy came over for breakfast while the others were taking a morning swim in the pond. I was happy to see her.
