New baby help

From the picture.....It is his pooper that is plugged.....If he got a bit chilled at anytime it will happen to Chicks and Ducklings.....Wash him.....If it was an infection it would ooze puss or stink....He needs to poop ASAP........

Hope it helps!

Cheers!

i am so incredibly sad and sorry that I didn't realize it was that poor baby's pooper and not that yolk spot I was trying not to disturb. I have no idea what just happened either. All morning it had been riding around in my pajama shirt pocket peeping and snuggling. I guess it was really crying

I had it in the bath and took it out to get a new picture for y'all and change the water bc it was getting cool and when I put it back in it just flopped over on its side and I swooped it up and it just died. Just like that. It's sad. It stinks. I'm sad. I'm sorry I couldn't help it. I guess it's mama actually did know best almost 2 weeks ago. Thanks to each of you for taking time to read my pleas and give such great advice.

Of course your sad......Never beat yourself up over things you never new.....We all learn as we go.....So sorry and if you have any other concerns with the other Ducklings? Post and everyone will help if they can?.....

Big Hugs.......:)

I am so very sorry to hear lil Peep died. As chickens really said we all learn from our heartaches and real life experiences. Still doesn't help the heart break, but know we all understand and care.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, and so sorry for your loss,

but try not to beat yourself up as I suspect this duckling had a serious problem, like yolk sac infection, not a plugged vent. Did you mention crook neck and stringy poop? If so, those are symptoms of a yolk sac infections, and you should know that yolk sac infections are almost impossible to treat.
