We have a new baby pea who had trouble hatching on his own. He was in an incubator so we kept an eye on him. He started to break through, then just gave up. We waited overnight, then helped him break out gradually. Now he seem lethargic and isn't standing up on his own.

Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to BYC. Can you post some pictures of him?

We have 4 baby chicks coming tomorrow for company, but I am not sure he ( I don't know, it just seems like a "he") is going to make it until then. He flops around but hasn't been able to stand up. He is still in the incubator for warmth.

I was told to give him sugar water and some gravy from canned cat food. He shows just a little interest in eating but not much.
