New Back Yard Farmer.. Forced Rescue!

They are about a year old, the Black one still has some lameness don't see any visible injury to leg's or feet but they are making a mess of my shop till I get their 12'X6' duck house/run finished next day or two.

The black one seems to soak up water the other 2 repel it.

There is a condition in ducks, I don't remember what it is called, where their oil doesn't properly distribute throughout the feathers and their feathers get wet as a result. I don't have ducks anymore, so hope someone else can explain this better.

Welcome to BYC . There are quite a few duck keepers in our flock so you should get very good advice. I've had ducks before but they were all free ranging on the little pond on previous property. They are messy little things, but sooo entertaining. Good luck.

Never had any ducks or other animals but cats and dogs only time I really been around them was FFA in high school 25 years ago. So this is a crash course!! Now that I am committed prob get 6 or so chickens this spring also.
