Hello Chicken Coopers!
I'm so excited to be here. Love my little peeps! They are 4 weeks old and starting to get rambunctious. They want out of their garage pen. I have 10 hens. One is very small in comparison to the rest of the flock. And I have one with an eye infection. I've separated both from the rest of the flock.
I welcome input and shared experience. I'm new to urban chicken ownership. I've been reading a lot. But nothing beats people who have real life experience.

I'm working on a 5 gallon waterer and feeder and chicken tractor.
Pictures and progress to follow.

I'm sad to report I lost my little Gracie last night. She was the smallest chick in my flock of 16. Failure to thrive? I don't know. The rest are growing like crazy and eating up a storm. My little Hazel is getting better. Her eye infection seems to be clearing up.

Any suggestions on how and when to introduce her back into the flock. She has been on her own for two weeks now. And they were picking on her all the time. She's bigger now.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Providing your sick chick has not been isolated for more than a couple of days or so, it should be fine to be put with its flock-mates (but observe to make sure things are fine).

Best wishes

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Sorry you lost Gracie. :hugs
I would get Hazel out with the others ASAP in a 'look don't touch' arrangement so they can start to reintegrate. Leave her separated but secured from them for about a week before allowing any intermingling. And when you do allow them to intermingle, do it in a VERY LARGE area. Good luck.
