Edited to say: Sorry the pic's are so big, couldn't get this stupid computer to act right.

And, before anybody fusses at me, I am taking care of her legs,

barnyard I have a hen that looks almost exactly like yours. She has a little smaller comb and she is a little larger but they look alot alike. I wish I could get a picture of her, she was roosting in the tree when we moved here two years ago and is still not real friendly....and mine lays daily winter or summer...

I just got these 2 bantams sat. so the are not reall friendly "yet"! I am working on that. She has laid 3 eggs since sat. I figured the move would stress her out and she wouldn't lay for a few day's, but it hasn't seemed to affect them at all. The little roo is so funny. When she goes to making her "it's time for me to lay" noise he get's in the nest box and get's the hay all ready for her and then he stands beside it. If only all men were like that, lol!

I think he is an OEG, not sure on the color, but should be easy to figure out with that picture of him. I tihnk your hen is a oeg modern cross. But I do think she may have a let mite issue. Something seems weird with her leg scales.JMHO

I am treating her for leg mites. I brought them home and they went straight to the tub!! Man did they stink and they were nasty! I also treated there feet and legs and around the vent area!

The coloring on your new boy looks like Ginger-Red and the girl's coloring appears to be close to the brown-red, though the red usually stops at the neck and hers has flowed down along her body.
