New batch of Cornish Cross

Day 18: 10.8oz
Day 19: 11.1oz
Day 20: 12.4oz
Day 21: 14.05oz

AAL: I went to 12/12 about three days ago when they started getting REALLY aggressive about new food in the bowl. Up til then it was feed all the time unless they happened to run out at night.

Mine are at day 14 and I feed 24/7, its soo hot outside that instead of eating they sit their and pant... so when its cooler I turn on lights and let them eat otherwise they'd starve all night

, so I know they eat from the 10pm-11am... so hopefully mine will gain weight like they're supposed to. Mine are straight run but I believe to have half/half.

I have an average of 60 degrees and they still go thru at least 5 gallons (my older meat birds) of water a day. The 21 little ones in this thread are going thru 1-1.5 gallons right now.

You're soo lucky! It's hitting high 90's here!

.... I have noo ideal how much water mine are going through since I change it out all the time.... I'm going to compare my chicks weights to yours to see if it acctually changes any from weather...

Well so I just went to check on them and found another dead one. So I'm down to 20. This one was HUGE, I'd have to say the largest of the bunch, so maybe it grew too fast? I just weighed it and it was 1.05lb.

and I hope I don't, what kinda food are you giving them? You think you got a bad batch since they're quite older now to just be losing them? do they look sick?

They are still on medicated chick starter, almost done with it. Didn't look sick on the outside. I think that you've been lucky...lol I just think they're prone to problems.
