New bird acclimation?

Just got 6 new hens to ad to my flock. 3 silkies, 1 oegb, and 2 d'uccles. I have them locked in the coop right now so they can get used to the flock as well as where they are suppose to sleep. My question is how long does it normally take for a chicken to recognize where it is suppose to live? I just want to make sure if they are to excape the run they wont run away since they are super wild and flighty. Thanks!

Ok then.
Is their area fenced? Is your yard fenced? I would say to wait a month or so and watch them when they're out for the first few days, herding them back if they go too far.

Even if they're only acclimated for a week, if they get out, they'll wander into a few neighbor's yards but return at night to roost.

their run is fenced in in but only about 5 feet tall. my chickens have never once flown over it but they are also not wild and flyers like the milles and oegb. ill take it week by week to see how they are acting.
