These critters showed up in our weasatch bush after bad storms earlier this week.
What are they?
Breed?
Gender?
They look like juvenile Maylay, but as to my knowledge the closest Maylay are not anywhere near me...
Unless they fell off a truck passing through or were carried in by Hawks...
One does appear injured.
Or are they some type of game bird?

The Malay reference reminds me of a time as a young lad when I asked an older gentleman why the chickens he had were called Malays and he told me they "may lay or not".
That older gentleman was probably my Dad...always saying something that would either embarrass me in front of people or making new friends for me...he would talk to a plant if it would listen! Such a great man...always had some quip that made others feel really good!
