New Blue Copper Moran added yesterday!

So good to know, and I talked with another couple folks, with chickens, who agreed to be patient, but had done it a few times without complications. Oh, so looking forward to the combined flock!

My experience with chicken math: Every year, I mysteriously have more birds... No great mystery really, they are good at multiplying. Sometimes you just want some new lawn candy. ;) Before you know it, you're adding more birds to your flock, one way or another. :p

On watery stools...some of my birds are like that too. I believe the heat might have something to do with it. I'm curious to hear other opinions on this though.

Chicken Math? Explain for this newbie, please.

There is a good thread on Chicken Math at https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/678858/explaining-chicken-math )

Funny! Yes, already things have changed! Went to Fountain, Colorado for the Golden Laced Wyandotte, and my son....ok, me too, decided she would be happier with a friend, and WAAALAAA...we have a Rhode Island White too. Promised my husband no more than 6 since that is really very ideal for the Coop/Run. Plenty of space! My son is taking the heat for the extra hen.

We will introduce the 2 newest, to the Copper Maran first, then migrate the 3 newer with our remaining RIR over time.
Thanks for all the fun facts, and feedback!
I work from home, homeschool my son, garden...........why not chickens too! Homesteading happiness!
