If He Is Wrapped In A Towel He Should Absorb The Sac, Just Don't Let The Others Peck At It. He Should Be Okay ...
How long should I keep them wrapped up? He is really struggling and tried to get away he’s chirping and really wants to run will the sack dry up and break off I’m kind of freaking out he is ready to run and struggling in the towel

If hes alert and active that's a good sign as long as he remains that way. Just keep an eye on him until that's absorbed. In the future, I wouldn't help them hatch anymore unless it's a dire emergency. You can always add coconut oil to a membrane that's drying out to help moisten it. Usually there will be signs of distress if they're super shrink wrapped and require help. Great job though! I'm glad he's a happy peeper!
Do you think I should let him out of the towel because that little sack is going to be dragging around in the shavings I’m trying to keep it moist in a towel but he is really struggling to get away he wants to run

I wouldn't yet. Honestly I'd isolate him from the others. Even if you have to put a small divider in your brooder. Clean, warm, and keep the sac slightly moist

I would have him in the incubator still with maximum humidity instead of a wet towel.

You jumped the gun by helping him. Once they pip they can rest up to 24 hours before zipping.

It's always a hard choice with so many factors at play and I completely understand wanting to help them all!

Hope it works out! :fl

Do you think the sac will dry up and fall off?

It definitely has gotten smaller (less full) but hanging there. He is drinking and running around. I have him separated, will see how he is in the am. Any other suggestions??

Its just the yolk sac still absorbing, it happens if you try help them out, i have helped many shrink wrapped ducklings out and thats often there. They absorb the yolk during hatching to give them nutrients for the following days while they learn to eat. Just dont fiddle with it or let the others eat or peck it. I would leave it in the incubator until it is absorbed. Usually they are perfectly fine.

How is he now?

Keeping things extra clean to try and avoid infection in that open wound will be key.
