Yeah, they are rarely way down in pecking order, those BRs, but mine have always been very friendly and personable with only a couple of exceptions.In my little flock of 8, my barred rock hen is queen and my light Brahma pullet looks like this often! My 3 little pullets work very hard to keep my barred rock from noticing them! Lol![]()

I'm glad the BRs and the Brahmas are in separate pens in the barn now since I have to leave them locked in all day tomorrow to travel 3 hrs south for DH's emergency surgery. I hate leaving them but it should be not very hot tomorrow, thankfully. If they were in the same pen, I bet the Brahmas would not eat much all day long from being scared of Hector.
