The pecking order battle between the two six-week-old Brahma males has begun! Thought you'd enjoy the battle footage, complete with dramatic music.

I suppose for now they look like they are harmless and below her on the pecking order.Someone must really want a super sweet gentle giant! I really can't have MaryJo living with three Brahma roosters, much as she seems to want it.

Tell her to bring a U-Haul, they are big boys. The six younger chicks and now, TWO of the older males, will go to their new home on Sunday. It was supposed to be Saturday, but it's supposed to be pouring rain and the new mom is coming from over 2 hours away in South Carolina. We decided the next day might work out better. So, unless she changes her mind about the 2nd 11 week old cockerel, my BR pullet, MaryJo, will be losing two of her "brothers", the darker blue partridge and one of the partridge boys. Gosh, these boys are amazingly sweet. The biggest one has actually begged me to pick him up more than once. I told her they were highly addictive!
She asked me how big they were, trying to decide what size crates to bring, that she was figuring maybe baseball size for the younger ones and softball size for the 11 week old one. I said it was more like softball for the 7 week olds and 18-20 week old large fowl pullet size for the 11 week old boys!
