New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

In my ad for the last two Brahma boys on the FB chicken group, a guy who bought one from me awhile back popped in to give us an advertising boost. I thought this was pretty cool:

I got one of Tom's "little " guys back in the spring. This son of a gun seems more like people than chicken. I'm not squirrelly like some folks who call their animals their" baby's". This bird has a personality. It is larger than my other chickens that are 2+ months older. And absolutely beautiful.

And the nice lady who just took the chicks yesterday said this:

Within my big community coop, I have 7 feeders and 4 waters scattered and I sit and watch to be sure no one is bullied and all get their groceries. Your 2 bigger boys want to follow me while I do my farm chores. The dark boy rode on my shoulder while I fed goats and pigs this morning. I m not letting them free range with out my personal supervision. I'm afraid they will get lost, or not know a safe place if necessary

Folks really love these Brahmas and are so impressed with their size when they see them in person if they've never actually seen one up close and personal, or have only seen some hatchery birds.

Those are some great comments. Definitely makes me sad you are so far away, otherwise I would get one of your big blue giraffe roosters. I used to have a really nice rose combed RIR rooster, was also show bred. He was so gentle too. There's a big difference between hatchery and breeder type for sure. I can imagine they are wonderful birds.

Pics of Bash and girls, plus the two remaining cockerels that I have for sale. Someone is interested in the blue partridge and has several varieties of import colors already.

About 2 minutes after I posted the video, someone from a close by town said he wants the two boys and wants to get them tomorrow. I did not expect a response so fast, and really, maybe not at all from a YouTube sale ad.

I know young lady who's going to be very sad when her boyfriends leave

Me, too. She would not let them outside several times today. She acts like she has to protect them. Silly girl. She has to pick a group! Zara is in Georgie's group so she is not happy in there. She won't squat for Hector still, though her comb/wattles are showing she must be close to laying. And I really would rather she not be in with Atlas for obvious reasons. She cannot live alone so she has to pick someone!

Well, MaryJo has lost her baby brothers. They went to a new home with a gorgeous coop and will have, to start, some Orpington hens. So, MaryJo is probably going to have to deal with Zara in Georgie's group until she shows signs of laying her first egg.
