New breed projects?

How about RIR or a brown egg production breed to maintain the size and overall type?

One of my own possible projects- last year got a bunch of naked neck eggs.. however two chicks hatched and grew up to be obviously crosses or mixes with a Wyandotte.. roo has a silver duckwing-ish color but the hen is a neat color combination of white, red and blue(maybe BLR cross/mix?). I've been thinking what if I paired them up... might develop a line of laced naked necks out of them.....

Ah, what about rhode island whites, they tend to have good production and a rose comb.

That would be interesting to see. I have always thought about laced leghorns of some sort, not sure if I would want them with birchen(?) from the polish and sebrights or black tailed laced like a wyandotte. Thats about as far as I have thought on that project, no clue what to do after that.

I've noticed with my mixed chicks that i've hatched, that the lacing from wyandottes breeds through most of the time. So that may be the direction you could go. It might would be hard to breed ou the brown egg to white though. I'm not sure of how that works.

Hi! Would frizzled Naked Neck blue-eggers count as 'new'?

I am not working on new breeds, I guess, but I would like to do some work on more colors for Polish and I am also working on a mille fleur Japanese bantam, though I think it has been done before, and I would like some barred Japanese bantams. Never know where these will lead.

I'm starting a standard buff columbian wyandotte project. Already got what I need and ready to go to work. Had bantams when I was younger and doing it cause I liked them. Mike
