New Breeding Pen

I'm just curious, how are you going to keep the harsh winters out of this pen with no walls? The design is ideal but is it for seasonal use? Looks really nice! Congrats!

Mostly seasonal as a breeding pen. It will probably serve as a rooster coop in the off season too, they can be fixed up with a spot in the enclosed end of it.

Today, boarded up the gaps at the bottom of the front and between sections inside. Got all the wire done on the partitions.
Remaining is the outside doors and pop doors and guttering as the main structural components. And then adding in roosts, nests, and feeders.

Today got the "popdoors" inside between pens put up, and the outside doors put on and the last few open spaces covered with wood....(pic was taken slightly before I finished what I was doing, it was getting late so I wanted to take one while it was light enough to not be a crummy pic.) Still need to get the latches on the outside doors. Gutter needs put on. And then the "furnishings" inside. But by George, it's a gettin' close.....

Today....door latches on. Feeders put up. Roosts put up. Roosts are not fancy, just old 2x4s put across the ends or corners. Should be sufficient for a bird to sit on though. lol
