Well hatching fever has hit my husband full force! He's being "supportive" LOL! Very Very "supportive" . We have always used a big wire dog crate for a brooder. But I hate it, it is such a mess! I have a stock of recycled 1/2 inch thick plywood that I got for free, so I set off to work and came up with this-

Stained (beacuse we keep it inside as our garage is detached) and covered in wire mesh

Full of peeps

I even put in a roosting bar for when they get bigger. It will be on locking casters but I'll have to put them on when this group moves outside

Yes we have 2 corgis! They are fantastic with the flock. Mabli is very protective of the babies. Love your avatar!

Micah? He never set foot near that until it was done and full of peeps. I made that all by my self! I made an aviary for the tiny ducks. I got power tools and my own rolling tool box for an early Christmas gift.
