OH MY WOWWY, good job that's crazy big, did you have to get planning permission for that.

Simply Amazing! I have a question. When can I schedule you to come over to my place to begin construction? :)

I don't even have the words to describe what kind of job you have done. I'm speechless. Incredible. I hope that you are submitting this into the coop contest although this is NOT a coop, it's a Chicken Yatch on Land. :lau

EXCELLENT JOB !!! :thumbsup

Craig,
Are you taking reservations? Mine suddenly want to go to Iowa for vacation!!!

Thanx for sending me the link to this thread. I didn't realize you'd started a separate thread for the Castle.

Please understand the reason for this new coop. I lost over 100 breeder and young bantam Cochins this summer while they were in my old coop and my shop. My goal is to breed and raise quality bantam Cochins. A new building will not make them any better but will allow me to do a much better job of selecting, protecting, and caring for them. These pictures taken earlier today of some of my young birds that were still eggs when I lost so many breeder birds in August. There are Black, Birchen, Buff Columbian, Columbian, Partridge, and Silver Penciled in my 2 grow out pens.

Yes I'm moving my coop and run as well but on a much smaller scale than yours and it should help a lot by starting over now that i have more knowledge and setup of a previous coop and run. I like your Buff Columbian's and your silver penciled very much.

Sorry to hear about your loss of birds. That is terrible . I understand the urgency and importance of making them a safe place. You definitely did that. Now you don't have to worry about their safety. :)

Loving your new building and all you have done to plan the pens! WOW! Love the lighting set up also. Really happy for you but jealous as can be!

Questions I have may have been answered in the first few pages...I took the link from the Cochin breed thread...

How will you control the dust and dander that are inevitable in an indoor pen set up?

Looks like you are using wood shavings on the floor. Can a shop vac be used in each pen to save you time in cleaning/changing that?

Since these are breeding pens, will you be using "daylight" bulbs to imitate sunshine? Similar to grow lights for a greenhouse?
