I was just browsing some chicken coop plans to build my first coop for about 7-10 birds when I stumbled upon this MECA of poultry housing!

Today I got enough male cages made that I could get rid of the temporary ones which frees up quite a bit of space for the next round of cage construction. Also it will never look this good again. I have 14 cages made and at least 8 more to go. that will wait till after Christmas. I can care for all birds without opening cages. Food , water, and waste removal all from the aisle. Tried to get a picture of what it looks like in a cage. I still need to drill holes in the bang boards and other little stuff.

Between the weasels,mink,coons,possums,skunks,fox,coyotes,hawks,owls, dogs,and eagles all living within 1 mile of my home having free range birds is a fantasy. at my place. I lost over 100 in two attacks in 2012 alone. It was time to have a secure place to raise my birds.
