Indoor pet button quail are quite the learning experience. 7 hatched naturally and 3 were almost goners when I pulled them very late from their severely shrunk wrap eggs. I had heard they were so delicate but luckily they were as willing to fight to survive as much as i was determined to make them survive. Did I expect 10 out of 13 fertile shipped eggs to hatch as a first timer with a crappy amazon incubator? No? Did I need 10 as indoor pets, especially not knowing what sex they will be? Also no. But am I thrilled to have 10 seemingly healthy wee chicklets make it this far. Damn right I am! Lol
