Hi everyone,
My name is Janelle I live in south Texas close to Houston… I have a mix of 8 feathered friends…
3 RIR ( 2 hens 1 Roo) 1 copper Maran.. <~~ hatched May 13th… 1 blue or silver something… ( given to me) 1 silkie 1 frizzle ( 3 year old rooster) and 1 black Americana ( rooster) my blue was born sometime in April or May and she all the sudden started crowing today…. 😳 hoping I get eggs soon any pointers for this new chicky momma??? Thanks and god bless

You've got a lot of boys there. Are you planning to get rid of any of them? Unless you get some more hens or create a bachelor pad your flock can really only handle 1 maybe 2 boys.

Yes I’m getting more hens… the frizzle was given to me just recently so I am waiting to get more the hurricane destroyed my chicken run so we have a makeshift run right now that’s not great for new comers lol

Sorry about the hurricane destroying the chicken run. I hope it is fixed soon.

There are a lot of articles on building coops and runs here, hopefully that will help make it an easier task for you.
