New BYC

[Crazy Chicken Lady WA]

My name is Honor. I live in Sokane,WA. I have 4 geese,10 ducks & 12 chickens. I have seven Roan ducklings that hatched 4/16/19. They free roam with their mom, my chickens & geese during the day. I went in the house for a minute about a month ago. When I came out I found one of the ducklings laying on the ground totally unresponsive. I hit his chest a bunch of times (gently) to see if I could get his heart going again and gave him mouth to beak. After about 30-45 min I saw he was breathing and his heart was going again. He was slowly coming back. By the time they went to bed he was back to normal. Yesterday @ bed time I noticed he was MIA. I could not find him. Right before I was going in the house he showed up. I am wondering if he had another one of those incidents and got himself out of it. Maybe he was breathing/heart going just very shallow?? Maybe he got scared by something?? We live in the boonies so we have all kinds of animals. Anybody else had a duck like this??

Hey there what county you in Please We are here in the boonies also but no ducks just chickens now your do not believe it is normal but he was born with a bad ticker ? like us those things do happen we also have a great state thread your welcome to jump in
