I don't support ANY new taxes...we're paying enough already for the little we get in return. Those of us who actually pay taxes, anyway.
Yeah, they deserve to drive tax free...because they ALREADY paid more for the car to begin with, and paid taxes on it somewhere along the line as well.
Just think of what the people who had founded this country would have thought if their horses and wagons were taxed by the mile!
Just remember, anyone thinking of buying a car for "better fuel economy"...if your current car runs all right, if you buy a new one it's going to take a VERY long time to balance out those supposed "savings", if you even can manage it, at the current prices and TAXES. You're better off just running with what you have, which I see a lot of people doing.
