I am new here and just trying to get as much information about raising backyard chickens as I can before actually getting them. After an unusually brutal winter here in Ontario I'm a little nervous they won't be happy with all the snow and cold but I've been reading that they are not as fragile as one might think as long as I keep them fed, clean, and dry

and Welcome To BYC! TwoCrows gave you some good links to get you started! X2 chickens are remarkably cold hardy as long as they have suitable shelter etc. Here is an interesting thread from last year that had a lot of winterizing tips on it
