New chick died

Just got chicks on Wednesday! All seemed happy, eating, drinking, been cleaning out their cage twice a day, etc and tonight I found one dead! Any ideas?

Enough space would be my first thought. Chicks will gladly trample each other to death to escape the large hands that deliver the feed and water that keeps them alive.

Past that, they are also experts at dying. If all conditions are good (food, water, bedding, temps) it's probably not your fault and just nature taking it's course.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure they have enough space, but we're moving them into something bigger just to be sure.
