New Chick..head twitching and neck stretching with open mouth

I guess not...she is resting peacefully, no biting or scratching, just sleep. I have been reading alot of info about worming the birds. Is this a sign of worms of some sort? Should I worm them? Also should I keep Corid handy just incase?

at 5 weeks i can't imagine it has worms. but you should put together a first aid kit for your chickens, I wouldn't treat them for anything unless you know for sure what it is. there is a worm called gape worm but it would be highly unlikely at the age they are they would have gape worm. you also might want to mix the chick food with some good quality yogurt for any runny poo. and heres just one of many ideas about what you should have in a first aid kit. http://www.thepoultrysite.com/diseaseinfo/65/gape this is on gape worm. first aid kit. http://www.broodyhen.co.uk/ket/fowlnotfoul/1staid.htm

Have you checked her over for lice or mites? this is usually the time of year to see outbreaks. or it could be something nerological, is she eating and drinking and pooping normal?
