She is 5 weeks? I think she is a she.
Post her pic again in another 3 weeks, by then signs of cockerel should be getting apparent if she's a he.

Waddles can redden early on Pullets, combs usually shoot up fast on Cockerels, you will know more at 2 months. For now I believe she is a she.Thank you, will do. Keeping a close eye on our baby Echo. New update on our chicken coop, and run. We had to change things up a bit. Not perfect but much better. And my girls getting some outdoor fun. They were on alert, do too crows, and then looked at me like...Good evening, everyone. I am a brand-new Chick Mama and new to BYC. I have chosen my username after one of my 5-week-old chicks we named, Echo. She is a RI Red and had a chirp as a few days old that would "Echo" through the house....hehehe. I got my 6 chicks on March 22 at TSC. We have a RI Red (Echo), Starlight Green Egger (Sassy), Cinnamon Queen (Rosie), Golden Comet (Dazzle, she loves the mirror), Easter Egger (Dottie), and another Easter Egger (Bean, she is very small and sweet compared to Dottie). We are currently building our enclosed run for these girls and can't wait to share photos for any suggestions. I will post photos soon of our babies. I never thought I would love chicken's as much as I do.

Hi everyone! Just giving an update on my chicks. They will be 7 weeks on Wednesday. I have a small Easter Egger who I call Bean. She is much smaller, and weighs much less than my other girls. She acts normal, and eats/drunks normal. Should I be concerned with her size? She definitely is a " Mini"Good evening, everyone. I am a brand-new Chick Mama and new to BYC. Thank you....She is special for sure. a sweet but feisty one! She loves attention but will peck at my veins ....hehehe.Adorable!Some birds are runts at first, however many do catch up over time. As long as she is acting normal in all other ways, there isn't anything to worry about, even if she remains tiny.
